Best drying towel ive ever used.
Ive had it for 4 years now and hasn't changed in anything. You know when you are drying a car you have a humid cloth towel, when you try to dry the windows you always get those little drops? This doesnt happen at all with the absorber. Its awesome.

How soft is it though? Microfiber soft? Or sort of soft wait what the fuck this thing just left a bunch of scratches in my clear coat soft?

is that technically a towel or a chamois

Synthetic chamois I believe.

I've had one for about 8 years and it works beautifully. Throw it in the wash every once in a while to keep it clean and you're good to go.

the large griots garage drying towel makes this look terrible. I've stopped using my absorber as a result.

If it works for you great. I stopped using chamois (real or synthetic) about ten years ago. Due to minor marring in use to the clearcote.
I've found microfibres much easier to use and maintain. Simple non bio wash and gentle spin followed by a brief tumble dry on a cool setting to fluff up and jobs-a-good-un.
Some cars have such soft clearcote that patting them dry is the best way.

I dont know, it feels like nothing else, i cant describe it, but it gives great results. I always finish drying the car really fast.
